BRUCE XU, ORGAN RECITAL

2022 ASOFH Young Professional First-Prize and Audience-Prize Winner
Bruce Xu is not your typical organist. He discovered the grand pipe organ at age 9 in his local church and has since fallen in love with its majestic sound and expressive possibilities. In 2022, Bruce wowed both the ASOFH jury and audience, winning first-prize in the Young Professional competition and, by vote of the audience, the audience prize.

...captured international media attention at the age of 12 with his same-day performances at Carnegie Hall on piano and at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on organ.
Sarah Ku (New York)

Second Prize
...currently a 10th-grade student at Groton School, Massachusetts... awarded the Britton Organ Scholarship to study at Clifton College in Bristol, England.
Henry Dangerfield (Minnesota)
11:30 a.m.
Third Prize, Audience Prize,
and David Spicer Hymn Playing Award
... began organ study in 2019 at the age of eleven, receiving a student scholarship from the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
